HAPPY HEIDI...That's my name, don't wear it out!

Heidi in Germany

Why I was given the name Heidi is beyond me, since i'm not even German...although, I have to say, it's a pretty cool name!
Anyhow, I have been researching a bit about Germany, as that's the next trip i'd like to take. Needless to say, a fashionista must always, first and foremost research the fashion of the land...which is exactly what I did!

In my fashion research of the German land, I found the most amazing Dirndls made by a designer by the name of Lola Paltinger (www.lolapaltinger.com), who has the most amazing custom trendy Dirndls.
She has the couture line named "Lollipop & Alpenrock" and a more affordable version (although still a bit pricey) called "Happy Heidi". What a cool name!!!! Cool Dirndls and even cooler name. Let me tell you, I would totally (Alpen)-Rock these Dirndls on the mad streets of the US of A!!!!!!!!!

And, it's already a BIG hit with celebrities...
Paris Hilton has worn the label, as well as Kim Kardashian and Salma Hayak!!!

One thing though...Caveat Emptor my friends....the Lollipop & Alpenrock couture line sells in the 2,000-3,000 euro  range per dress...and although less expensive, the Happy Heidi line is still about 800 euro per dress!!!!

Happy (Heidi) Hunting!!!!

the one below is from the  Happy Heidi line

The one below is from the Happy Heidi Line too!
This is exactly what Alice in Wonderland would be wearing if she were not in Wonderland, but in Germany!!!!   ....Hmmm, nice sound....Alice in Germany, or better yet...Heidi in Germany!!!

Cool New Fashion Find...CLOSED clothes!

http://www.closed.com

I've recently unearthed a (not-so-)new european fashion find. CLOSED clothing,  originally from Italy is now owned and operated out of Germany, with stores in Germany and The Netherlands.

The clothing line for Men, Women & children gets my little fashion heart pumping and skipping a beat.

The line is beautifully designed in mostly understated  hues of blacks, greys, browns & khakis with mininal color. Right upmy alley. Sent straight from Germany to us with love...super excited!

Check it out!

Simply obsessed!

As i'm sure everyone is well aware, I am obsessed with fashion and all of it's accoutrements!

Well...in my pursuit for the perfect designer, I have recently become acquainted  with two that I am simply OBSESSED with...
HIGH by Claire Campbell & Lauren Vidal!!!

Lauren Vidal is a line from France with beautiful layering pieces mostly in hues blacks browns  & greys.
She has 2 websites:
www.LaurenVidal.fr
www.LaurenVidalUSA.com

HIGH by Claire Campbell is a Italian line from British Designer Claire Campbell
(interestingly enough, her only store I think is in Stockholm Sweden)
Her line is in lots of luxurious fabrics of cottons, linens & cashmere...it screams old world CHIC!
www.H-I-G-H.com
www.thecorner.com
(you can actually purchase her clothing on www.thecorner.com website)

Both are not  for the faint of heart or  pocketbook, as they (in my opinion ) are amazing pieces of wearable art...sexy, sleek & oh so sensual...but let me tell you, if you wear it, they will stare!

The Chunky/Skinny Dichotomy...

My new love for fall...the Chunky sweater and Skinny jeans(or leggings) ! There are so many different looks you can create from these 2 simple staples...the possiblilties are endless. Who said that you couldn't be a skinny & chunky all at once!

Love(and have) this sweater from J. Patterson Kincaid (the first & third sweater) ...looks sooo great with skinny jeans, leggings, jeggings or anything really!!!! (Although...it must be said...it really does look better on me than on Stephanie Pratt !!!)

This  sweater  by Cynthia Steffe is TDF!!!
Amazing on, and super cute layered with a long top underneath!!!
...and, you can make this a short crop sweater or long sleeve sweater as easy as 1-2-3...just unbutton the sleeves, and VOILA!!!!
(also available in brown...super cute!)
Tres Chic...

(Above& below) These cute sweaters are from Lutz & Patmos...the name Lutz & Patmos is synonymous

The chill is finally starting to make its way into the air, and as I bundle up to go outside, I think to myself, how will I pull off cute, all bundled up like the stay puft marshmallow man? Then, a lightbulb went off in my head...ding ding ding, fashion trend alert!!! The new must have fall/winter accessory, for me at least is the warmer...
Not just the legwarmer, but the armwarmer neckwarmer & headwarmer as well!!! Cute colors, cute knits in different styles & blends...my FAV cashmere of course!
